Die Stadt wird von Brandstiftern heimgesucht, die sich unter falschem Vorwand in die Häuser der Menschen einschleichen. Auf so etwas würde der erfolgreiche Geschäftsmann Gottlieb Biedermann natürlich niemals hereinfallen. Doch manchmal braucht es ein wenig Menschlichkeit und die zwei Männer an seiner Tür führen sicherlich nichts Böses im Schilde…
