A powerful psychological thriller based on an infamous true story, Roberto Zucco by Bernard-Marie Koltès follows a young lost soul driven to commit terrible crimes, seemingly without motive. Italian Roberto Succo, aged 18, was sent to prison after violently murdering his parents. 5 years later, he escaped and went on the run, defying police in 3 countries. Changing his identity many times, he embarked on a crime spree for 2 years - undetected. The play examines the concept of where does evil come from? Is evil learned, is it forced upon a person or is a person just born that way?
